François Jourdan is a conciliar so-called priest and student of Islam. The SSPX recently published his interview calling for religious liberty. The SSPX then adds a weak comment, but disgracefully fails to attack Jourdan’s error and profess the Catholic Faith. Our Lord had terrifying words for people who are too afraid of standing up for Him: For he that shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful generation: the Son of man also will be ashamed of him, when he shall come in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. (Mark 8:38)

It is evil to reject the truth, or to accept error. The Catholic Faith is the truth, and everything else is error. St. Paul exhorts everyone to hold fast to the true Catholic Faith (2 Thess. 2:14) and to repudiate all other doctrines (Gal. 1:8). Many other Catholic authorities have taught the same thing.

Jourdan opposes Islam because it rejects all non-Islamic teachings. This is the wrong reason to oppose Islam. Jourdan misses the crucial distinction between the true Catholic Faith and false religions. One must fight Islam because it rejects the true Catholic Faith.

Jourdan’s conciliar teaching is just as evil as Islam, because Jourdan demands acceptance of errors: But today, we must clearly state that we cannot build a society composed of one religion alone. Again, he posits a false right to pursue a different lifestyle. God does not give people permission to offend Him!

So, Jourdan pushes religious liberty, and the SSPX publishes his interview. Where is the Society’s condemnation of his error? Nowhere to be seen. Instead, the SSPX complains that Muslims are abusing religious liberty and that Vatican II has unfortunate consequences. Since when do we complain about supposed abuses of error rather than condemning the error itself? Since when do we complain about symptoms of a disease without objecting to the disease?

Vatican II is intrinsically evil, even without considering its effects. A true Catholic knows that to be with Our Lord is to be against His enemies. Unlike the SSPX, a true Catholic fights religious liberty, and all other heresies, simply because heresies contradict the Truth, Who is Christ. Are we of the truth, or not?

For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth my voice. (John 18:37)
