As part of its ecumenical efforts, the conciliar church calls non-Catholics by the name “Christian”. For example:

But even in spite of [obstacles to unity] it remains true that all who have been justified by faith in baptism are incorporated into Christ; they therefore have a right to be called Christians, and with good reason are accepted as brothers by the children of the Catholic Church . . . .

The new SSPX as adopted this conciliar practice. For example, in DICI’s recent article about Sri Lanka, the SSPX said that the island was “7% Christian (6% Catholic and 1% other denominations)”. January 30, 2015 DICI #309, p.5.

The new SSPX’s conciliar practice is contrary to the Catholic truth. As shown elsewhere on this site, Catholics should never call heretics and schismatics by the name “Christian”.
